Szociális Európa : Mi jót hoz ez az embereknek ?

Több mint két év telt el a szociális jogok európai pillérének elfogadása óta. Az új Európai Bizottság 2020. január 14-én meghatározta a Szociális Európa prioritásait.

Miért van szüksége az Európai Uniónak szociális pillérre? Kik a társadalmi Európa erőteljes előmozdítói, és kik azok, akik ellene dolgoznak – és miért? Milyen mértékben befolyásolta/-ja a szociális jogok európai pillérének bevezetése a nemzeti politikákat? Milyen konkrét előnyöket hoz ez az európai polgárok számára? Befolyásolták-e a nemzeti társadalmi modelleket más európán belüli társadalmi modellek, valamint az EU politikái és elvei? Mit gondolhatunk az új Európai Bizottság által a szociális Európa vonatkozásában január 14-én meghatározott prioritásokról? Kell-e a európai minimálbér? A felszólalók ezeket a kérdéseket fogják boncolgatni és vitatják meg a közönséggel.

• Carsten Jensen Az Aarhusi Egyetem (Dánia) politológia professzora és a skandináv jóléti állam modelljének szakértője
• Susanne Wixforth A legnagyobb német DGB (Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund) szakszervezeti szervezet Nemzetközi és Európai Szakszervezeti Politika Osztályának szekcióvezetője
• Alain Lefevbre Az európai szociális ügyekkel foglalkozó francia szakértő, aki a francia és EU-s közigazgatásban dolgozott Párizsban, Brüsszelben és a skandináv országokban. Több esszét is közzétett a témában, köztük a « Macron, le Suédois » (Macron a svéd)–t.
• Andor László A FEPS (az Európai Progresszív Tanulmányok Alapítvány) főtitkára. Korábban a foglalkoztatásért, a szociális ügyekért és a társadalmi integrációért felelős európai biztos volt

Social Europe: which benefits for the people?

More than 2 years have passed since adopting the European Pillar of Social Rights. The new European Commission has defined it’s priorities regarding Social Europe on January 14th 2020.

Why does the European Union need a Social Pillar? Who are the strong promoters of a Social Europe, who is working against it – and why? To what extent has the passing of the European Pillar of Social Rights influenced national policies? Which concrete benefits have European citizens seen since? Have national social models been influenced by other social models across Europe and by EU policies and law? What to think of the priorities set on January 14th by the new European Commission regarding social Europe? What about setting EU standards for a minimum wage? Those are the questions that the speakers will address and debate with the audience.

Participants :

• Kenneth Nelson Professor of sociology at Stockholm University and board member of the European Social Policy Analysis Network (ESPAnet)
• Carsten Jensen Professor of Political Science at Aarhus University (Denmark) and expert in the Scandinavian welfare state model
• Susanne Wixforth Head of Section at the Department for International and European Trade Union Policy of the largest German trade-union organisation DGB (Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund).
• Alain Lefevbre French expert on European social affairs having worked for French and EU administrations and served in Paris, Brussels and Scandinavian countries. He published several essays on the topic including Macron, le Suédois.
• László Andor Secretary General of FEPS (Foundation of European Progressives Studies). Previously, he served as Hungarian European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion
